Our horses
Our horses are the heart of Reiterhof Altmühlsee. Each of them has its own character, strengths, and very special story. With us, you will find experienced school horses for beginners and advanced riders, reliable partners for trail rides, and gentle ponies for our youngest guests.
On this page, we introduce you to our horses so that you can get a first impression of your possible riding partners even before your visit.
Our horses
Waldgeist
Waldgeist
“Waldi” is the second cold-blooded gelding in our stable, alongside Ferdinand.
My Lady
My Lady
The chestnut pony My Lady is an indispensable part of our stable.
Hugo
Hugo
Hugo, a seasoned school horse with plenty of spirit.
Ferdinand
Ferdinand
“He’s huge!” – is usually the first comment from our riding students. And it’s true: Ferdinand, our Black Forest gelding, is a true horse of impressive stature – tall and broad, yet friendly and reliable. A real “gentle giant.”
Cooper
Cooper
Small, fast, and agile – a true “Mini Cooper,” so to speak.
Janka
Janka
Our Appaloosa mare Janka is a real eye-catcher in our stable – after all, how often do you see a horse with such a beautiful coat pattern? But Janka is not only lovely to look at; she is also great fun to ride.
Cindy
Cindy
Our Shetland pony Cindy is probably the most popular horse – or rather pony – at our riding stables. With her calm and balanced temperament, she has already helped generations take their first steps into the world of horseback riding.
Chayenne
Chayenne
Is that a pudding horse…? No, it’s a pinto! Chayenne, with her striking black-and-white coat pattern, is a real eye-catcher in our stable. But she’s not just a visual highlight – she’s always enthusiastic and happily takes part in everything.
